Yeah, I’m Jackie

“Oh my God Carmella Soprano is a nurse now!” was our initial reaction to Nurse Jackie, the new show premiering on British TV on BBC2 everyday at 10pm. After three episodes, we’ve fallen in love. The dark comedy follows the life of Jackie – a New York, pill popping, adultering, but all together good nurse, played wonderfully by Edie Falco. Full of quirky and neurotic characters (including apathetic and narcissistic Brit Doctor Elenor O’Hara who was more than happy to sit by and watch a woman choke to death at lunch), it’s our kinda show. A bit of Dexter, a bit of Six Feet Under with a dose of Greys Anatomy thrown in, Nurse Jackie is definitely one to watch.
